"How good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in unity!" (Psalm 133:1)
Koinonia (Greek for “community”) is a student-run retreat held by the Newman Center every semester. The retreat is a weekend spent away from campus consisting of talks, discussions, community-building activities, and prayer to bring students to an encounter with Christ through sacraments and community. Though the retreat is offered from a Catholic perspective, those who are not Catholic are welcome to attend.
The Fall 2016 Koinonia was held November 4-6.
The Spring 2017 Koinonia will be held March 10-12.
